Bolivia
I arrived in Sucre, Bolivia a few days ago. Strangely, Bolivia has two capitals, Sucre being the constitutional one, and La Paz being the administrative one. The city of Sucre has short buildings, almost all of them are white with coral orange roofs. Sucre reminds me of Europe because of how quaint everything looks, but it also feels more South American. The tempertaure here is also pretty warm. I then went to find some food.
I went to a nearby restaurant and there I ordered silpancho and alfajores. Silpancho includes a layer of rice at the base, followed by a layer or boiled potatoes, and topped with a layer of pounded meat. Alfajores is essentially a dulce de leche cookie. I remember eating some in Argentina. The silpancho tasted new to me, as I had never tried Bolivian food before, and the alfajores tasted a bit too sweet. Afterwards, I prepared to go to a park.
I went to Parque Bolivar. It's sort of like Golden Gate Park, but on a really hot day, and much smaller. I first went to buy ice cream at the nearby store before walking into the park. The trees were a bit devoid of color because of how bright the sun was, and there were many people in the park. In the center of the park stood a short red Eiffel Tower like structure. There was also two rivers where people were riding on little boats. After I was done walking around the park, I went back to the hotel.
Bolivia has really quaint looking buildings, and good food. Some of the food is spicy, but I didn't try it. The country has beautiful places to visit that are rare and interesting, such as the massive salt flats. The weather is pretty nice here as well. I would visit again.
