Belgium
I've arrived in Brussels, the capital of Belgium, a few days ago. It's a wonderful city, but there are many homeless here. Brussels sounds like a vegetable, and it has many interesting places to visit. But the first thing that I did when I got here was to unpack at my hotel. After that, I went to a restaurant for dinner.
At the restaurant, I ate steak frites, because I really wanted fries and a steak. To balance my meal out, I also ordered stoemp, a potato mashed with vegetables. I also decided to order some waffles. This was the first time I had ever eaten a good waffle, so I was happy. Afterwards, I went back to my hotel.
The next day, I went to Parc du Cinquantenaire. The entrance to the park was the Arcades du Cinqantenaire. It reminded me of the Brandenburg Gate in Germany. The buildings and the entrance in the park featured Roman columns and teal statues with a few golden embellishments. I might never understand why there are so many in teal statues in the world. Maybe it's because the statues are aged.
After passing the entrance, I could see that there were large plots of grass divided by the paving. To the right stood the Royal Museum of the Armed Forces, and to the left stood the Art and History Museum. I didn't go into any of the buildings, but I did walk around the grass plots for a bit before leaving.
Belgium has many things. These things include a capital that sounds like a vegetable, very good food, nice sceneries, and timeless buildings with many Roman columns. It was nice to visit Belgium, although I think that it's a bit too chilly.
