Australia
A few days ago, I arrived in a Australia, in the city of Brisbane. It's hot here, but I still think that the city's really nice. But I am worried about seeing spiders in my hotel room. This city looks just like San Francisco, but the temperature is warmer. I've also noticed that the buildings here are much shorter.
After I left the hotel, I went to a restaurant for lunch. There were many options to choose from, as Australia is a hotpot of different cultures. I decided to go to the nearest one. I got some sushi from the closest food place and ate there. It tasted like normal sushi. After that I went ot my hotel and unpacked.
I then drove all the way to the Lone Pine Koala sanctuary. After walking through addmissions, I proceeded to walk aroiufn the park. There were a variety of native Australian animals at the sanctuary, including kangaroos, koalas, cassowaries. Some parts of the sanctuary felt like an actual park, because there wasn't enough foliage to make it look natural, and in other areas it did look natural.
There were little enclosures for the different anmals, and there were also caretakers in some of them. The first enclosure that I saw had a koala with a caretaker. I took a lot of pictures of it before moving on to the next enclosure. In the next enclosure, I saw a marsupial called the common wombat. It looked like a beaver but the fur had the color of dry, dusty dirt. The nose was also bigger and its face looked as if it was squished in a bit. After taking a picture of every animal that I saw, I left to go to the beach.
I went to a beach called Sutton's beach. It sounded like the name "Funston" in my mind for some reason, and I began to think about Fort Funston. Sutton's beach was really nice. Instead of the water being murky and blueish, the water here went from light teal to a darker blue. The water had beautiful shades of teal and blue. After standing in the water and letting it move me to different places, I decided to go back to the hotel.
Australia is America, but it's hot everywhere, and a lot of the land looks like the deserts of Nevada. But I will say that the oceans are much more beatiful and probably more full of wildlife.
