Afghanistan
Hey there!
A few days ago we arrived in the country of Afghanistan. I know that people say that it's unsafe because of all the civil unrest that is going on here, but I went anyways. There are places in the country that are beautiful, such as Band-e-Amir National Park, where I went yesterday.
Before we went into the park, we went to a resturant and ate lamb grilled kebabs, and kabuli palaw and salad. The meat was tender and flavorfully seasoned, and the vegetables were too. We then drove 20 kilometers along a rough road to get there. It was worth it, even though it was really hot.
When we got there, I could finally see the crystal blue lake. The water refelcted the tan moutains that stood beside the water. Some of the moutains had little pillows of snow on them. It reminded me of Sierra Nevada in the summer.
After the trip was over, we went back to the resturant and had kabuli palaw for dinner. it was a nice experience to be in Afghanistan and see some of the natural wonders.
